Get an offical entry form. Check with your teacher, school or library or download the entry form/template from this site. Print it out. We've included three sizes, so you can print it as big or small as you'd like, depending on your printer.
Color it in. Get creative! Think of the "Spirit of Alaska" and what that means to you. This is the time to have fun. Use almost any coloring materials you want. This includes paint, markers, crayons, and colored pencils.
You can create a design on your computer, as long as it's original. So don't go copying anything off your favorite Web site! But remember, the judges wil not be choosing their favorite designs based on how sophisticated they are.
Stay away from anything that makes the art 3-D. Stickers, cloth, stuff like that. Even though it would be really cool to have a plane covered in feathers and glitter, it would probably fall off when the plane is traveling 400 mph at 30,000 feet. And we don't want that.
Fill in all your information on the form. (That's very important — your parents can help you with that). Make sure it's postmarked before midnight on October 18, 2008. Mail it to:

Hannah Hamberg's winning design has been painted on a real Alaska Airlines 737-400 jet. She will also take off on a trip for four to the Disneyland® Resort!.

With so many great entries from such a wide range of ages, we wanted to recognize a design from each grade. So we’re proud to award each runner-up (one from each grade, minus the winner’s grade) his or her own trip for four to the Disneyland® Resort.

There were so many wonderful designs, our judges had a hard job! And after deciding on a winner and the runners-up, they wanted to make sure the honorable mentions were featured. We said, “Yes!” Click below for the finalist gallery.
